Bio

Sihun Song received a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from Auburn University in 2020 and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University in 2023. Currently, he is working on a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University with expected finish date in 2024. Sihun joined the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University in 2020 as a graduate research assistant. Since 2023, he is an Assistant in Research in the Power Systems group under Dr. Karl Schoder.

Sihun's research interest is in medium voltage power electronics, advanced converter topologies and controls, power systems, real-time simulation, MW scale power hardware-in-the-loop environment, and hybrid circuit breakers. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Power Electronics Society (PELS).
